What We Buy
1.
An appointment is required to schedule a drop-off date for your materials. We will only accept a limited number of appointments everyday, so please check our website for bookings or speak to a Hub employee.
**Drop-Off Limitations**
-
Please limit your total number of boxes or bags to three.
-
The size of each box should be approximately that of a paper box holding 10 reams, a 50-quart tub, or a 12-gallon tub.
If you arrive with more items than indicated, we may need to decline the additional boxes/bags and set up another drop-off date.
2.
If you're unable to secure an appointment but have high-demand items like quilt shop quality fabric or premium yarn, we will gladly add you to our waiting list.
*Important Reminder:** Please refrain from leaving any donations or items at the building after hours without our prior knowledge or permission!
3.
When you come in to drop off materials, we will have you fill out our Intake Form. This will provide us with your contact details and allow you to indicate whether you prefer to donate your items or receive store credit.
Kindly label your boxes (you don’t need to label every item) with your name and the drop-off date. This helps us keep track of your belongings.
4.
Upon receiving your product, EcoArt Hub will assess your items and strive to respond within 3 to 5 days. We will reach out to you via email or phone with our offer and will make one additional attempt to contact you. If we do not receive a response within 7 business days, we will assume you accept our offer, and your products will be added to our inventory, meaning they cannot be returned.
In the rare instance that we detect any pests in your items, they will be promptly sealed in trash bags and left outside for collection, as we cannot risk infesting our inventory with moths or other insects.
5.
Upon your acceptance, the Hub will provide compensation for your items in the form of store credit. You will receive an email detailing the amount of store credit. If you prefer not to receive store credit, your items will either be considered a donation to the Hub or returned to you.
*It’s important to note that craft items depreciate similarly to cars. You may have invested significantly in a brand-new item, but if there is little market demand, it can impact the resale price and the likelihood of sale. This ultimately affects the amount we can offer you. We evaluate all items based on their resale potential and the current inventory levels. Resale potential takes into account the item's condition, including its quality and whether it is new in its original packaging or nearly empty. We perform market research to ascertain the item’s current market value using websites from crafting retailers, such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Blick, and Jerry's Artorama.
**If you're uncertain about whether to proceed with us, feel free to give us a call. You are welcome to decline our offer; if you choose to do so, please ensure you pick up your items within a week of your response.
